About Almina, Lady Carnarvon, 1876-1969
Born Almina Victoria Marie Alexandra Wombwell in London 1876. She was the daughter of an English father and French mother. In 1895, she first married George Edward Stanhope Molyneux Herbert, ( 1866-1923 ), 5th Earl of Carnarvon. Secondly in 1923 she married Lt.-Col. Ian Onslow Dennistoun ( 1879-1938) She died in 1969, aged 93. Almina had a son, Henry, later 6th Earl and a daughter, Evelyn.
After the death of the 5th Earl of Carnarvon Almina renamed herself Almina, Countess of Carnarvon.
